FOOD PANTRY - Wednesday, August 20, 2008
The SCL Food Pantry was opened by the St. Vincent de Paul Conference. it is open Tuesday and Thursday from 9am - Noon. It is staffed by the Ladies Auxiliary of Columbus and other dedicated volunteers. The Food Pantry is stocked through the Meal-a Month collection as well as by benevolent parishioners who support the Pantry financially and with additional food donations.

Monetary and SCRIP card donations to the Poor Fund, St. Catherine's St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the monthly brown bag food collection make this minsitry possible.

If you are interested in getting more detailed information about the pantry and possible volunteer opportunities, please call the SVDP phone line at 314-843.3245 x 218 and leave your name and phone number so a member of the Society can return your call.

You may now purchase a Shop n Save SCRIP card and donate it to the Food Pantry.

The Food Pantry staff will shop with the cards to stock the pantry. CLICK HERE FOR A FORM

You will be asked to give your name and address and will be sent an acknowledgment/thank you for your donation - an added benefit as a tax deduction.

THE PANTRY IS EXTREMELY BUSY DURING THIS TIME.

By purchasing the Shop and Save gift cards through the St Catherine

Laboure program, you not only help the food pantry, but $5 of every $100 goes to back to SCL (at no addition cost to you). This is because SCL buys them at a discounted price and sell them at face value.

The cards can be purchased after Mass when a volunteer is at the table, or you can come to the rectory and Sr. Connie will also have card during the week.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to your participation.
