SCL Parish Food Pantry Update
The SCL Parish Food Pantry, which began in 2006, is located in the basement of the Parish Office and is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15am to Noon. This important parish outreach is staffed and managed by devoted volunteers.
The parish pantry is stocked through the Meal-a-Month collections and volunteer shopping made possible through monthly envelope and online donations. Parish Organizations and Ministries have collections and may make donations throughout the year. In addition, the SCL Day School and PSR have ongoing collections that support the pantry with additional food and toiletry items. Financial donations from the Knights of Columbus, parishioners, the ACA, and others are very much appreciated and also make this ministry possible.
The pantry is available to anyone residing in or out of St. Catherine Laboure boundaries. Food, personal care items, and cleaning supplies are distributed to the clients. The pantry averages 250-300 participants per month, benefitting a total of 800-1075 family members.
