Palm Sunday

Posted on March 23, 2018 in: General News

Holy Week begins on this weekend of March 24/25. Palm Sunday marks the final movement of the Lenten season towards the great three days of the Triduum: Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday.

We begin our pilgrimage of following Jesus with a procession like his; this practice reflects Christ's triumphal entry to Jerusalem.

At the 5:00pm and Noon Masses this weekend, Mass will begin in the Parish Hall. Please make your way to the Hall; do not skip the commitment of the procession unless you are physically unable to join in. In case of inclement weather, the processions will be in church.

At the 7:30am, 9:00am, and 10:30am Masses, the Mass will begin in church. The reading of the Gospel and the blessing of palms will take place in the back of church and the celebrant, lectors, and servers will process up and down the aisles.
